The Story of Vinofood

At it’s heart, Vinofood embodies the fusion of two great passions: food and wine. Creating a unique style of condiments that are truly gourmet.

Our mission revolves around one simple goal: crafting products that offer a taste of the good life.

We had been visiting Denmark in the Great Southern for over 10 year, then in 2005 our country journey really began when we traded the bustling city life of Perth for the serene countryside of Denmark. As our enthusiasm for connecting people to life's finer pleasures burgeoned, a remarkable opportunity unfolded before us.

Thus, our winery, The Lake House Denmark, came into existence, accompanied by a welcoming cellar door and restaurant. With limited knowledge about winemaking, we enthusiastically dove in, embarking on a journey filled with numerous learning experiences along the way. In addition to our winemaking, our vineyard platters emerged to showcase our wine and as a lavish celebration of the finest Great Southern produce, complemented by small-batch gourmet condiments, all crafted in-house.

For years, I had harboured a passion for concocting homemade condiments, meant to be savoured among family and friends. It was while curating The Lake House Denmark's vineyard platters that the idea blossomed—to create a condiment range that blended natural ingredients with the essence of wine.

Following numerous requests from our patrons, we carefully selected some of our favourites, including the merlot wine jelly, fig, apple & chardonnay chutney, and seeded chardonnay mustard, giving birth to Vinofood. With this range, we presented a way for our customers to relish the good life in the comfort of their own homes, effortlessly recreating the vineyard platters or creating their own special twist of platters.

Our primary aim was to encapsulate what we define as 'the good life' in each jar. Therefore, it was imperative that our products shunned any undesirable additives such as preservatives, artificial colours, or flavours, while celebrating the bounty of locally sourced, natural ingredients.

Over time, Vinofood specialty range has expanded to simplify cooking and enhance entertaining. Today, it includes a delightful array of sweet and savoury sauces, dressings, jams, preserves, chutneys, relishes, and even artisanal crafted rocky road chocolates, spanning five mouth-watering flavours.

In essence, Vinofood encapsulates the very best of The Lake House Denmark, carefully captured in each jar. No matter where you are, it's an invitation to savour and share the essence of the good life with family and friends.
