Christmas Fruit Mince Pies
By simply adding a few extra ingredients to our Fig, Apple & Chardonnay Chutney you can make a great base for these yummy fruit mince pies. Christmas is just not the same without them!
Ingredients
- 1 packet sweet shortcrust pastry
- 360 gm Vinofood Fig, Apple & Chardonnay Chutney
- 60 gm glace cherries
- ¼ cup brown sugar
- 2 tbsp brandy or whisky
- ¼ tsp ground cloves
- ½ tsp ground cinnamon
Instructions
- Mix all the ingredients together (except the pastry) and let sit for 1-2 days or more if possible to infuse the flavours.
- Line a 12 hole muffin tin with pastry rounds (use a glass or cup to cut out shape).
- Spoon the fruit mince into pastry case.
- Using a 'star shape cutter' make 12 stars and put on top of the fruit mince.
- Bake in 180°C for 20 minutes or until golden.
