Baked Pear With Figs In Shiraz Syrup

Ingredients
- 4 ripe medium Bosc pears, halved and cored
4 tbsp Vino Food Fig in Shiraz Syrup (syrup only, and extra for topping) - 30g salted butter, melted
- 8 scoops vanilla ice cream
- 4 large Vinofood Figs in Shiraz Syrup, finely sliced (figs only)
- 2 heaped tbsp slivered almonds, roughly chopped
Method
- Pre-heat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius using the top and bottom element mode.
- Line a baking dish with baking paper.
- Place pears cut side up on the baking paper.
- Coat pears all over with syrup and butter.
- Bake for 40 minutes until soft enough to cut with a spoon.
- Sprinkle almonds in the cored space of the pears then put back in the oven for 5-10 minutes until nuts are toasted.
- Serve pears with a scoop of ice cream, a drizzle of syrup and sliced figs.
